Well over all the standard feels more standardized and the traditional feels more tradionalized. _______________________________ Two Acoustic Corp. I just played a 2008 Standard Desert Burst last night at my local GC. Beautiful finish. Love the pleked feel. Sound was great. Chambering felt comfortable. And yes, it is still a Les Paul. <<<<<<<<<<>>>>>>>

I voted - is a les paul a les paul any more? Everybody knows both of those guitars are not real Les Pauls. The only real Les Pauls are solid, end of discussion. Weight-relieved or chambered Les Paul are pathetic attempts at a real Les Paul. (Just making the thread interesting...) ___________________ Because we're blind to their tyranny My gear

i played a trad goldtop in PMT. it was awsome, the neck was thick but comfy and the finnish was lovely, even on the back. i think they changed the standard too much, but thats just what ive heard from a review, i havent played one. and trads arent weight relifed are they? Lizzy- epiphone les paul standard plus, heritage cherry sunburst, my fav Layla- rally flying v copy, ebony, my shredder Bertha- ibanez jazzbox, 175 copy i think, not sure of the colour, a sort of brunett, my first

traditionals are weight relieved not chambered. quite a big difference. the weight relieved is a few small holes placed in the body. chambered is as you might have guessed, massive chambers taking up almost the whole body the custom shop re-issues are solid body. Epiphone G-400 Line 6 Spider III (terrible)

have gibson not been weight relieving (swiss cheesing) our LPs for years? one of the things i love about LPs is their weight, it would be a shame if they made them all light and fluffy. When ever i am caught between two evils, i take the one i've never tried!

That's the second weirdest poll I've ever seen. Maxwell Smart.

I don't get the poll. It's stupid. It makes no sense. Now I am annoyed.

Weight relieved LPs are not light and fluffy...The Traditional is based on the Standards of the late '80s-'90s... ____________________ "I like America to some extent". Michael Moore

er um, Ralph Nader? What were we talking about anyway? Oh yeah, I've played a 2008 Standard Premium Plus, a Traditional, a Supreme, a Custom, a 57 that unfortunately had problems, and a 50th R9. The Traditional, the Custom, and the 50th R9 are still on my shortlist. So how should I vote? Present? Garth
