hello all, new here, new to gibson guitars, been playing for about a year now(30 years if you count air guitar) getting better ,sort of . started out on an american standard strat. then the other day 5 grand just sort of fell on me so i said screw it i'm buying a les paul, bought a brand new 2008 les paul standard , cherry sunburst finish. WOW , the fender strat. is good ,real good , but the les paul is like silk to play, makes even a new guy hack like me sound good . very pleased .
now i need a little help if someone could. i went to fill out online warranty , but it asks for product code. where do i find the product code? 2nd, was this guitar supposed to come with certificate of authenticity , or is that only for certain models? any help would be great, especially on the warranty info, with my lack of luck, warranties are needed ,lol

I think COAs come with certain editions / custom shop models. BTW, I only play for a couple of years and I'm 31, so trust me on this, air-guitar has not helped me at all! LOL!!!

only guitars that are more like custom and artists models and others, I didn't get one with mine so don't be scared. You can't compare a Strat and a LP bro, day and night, I have both and sometimes I can't make up my mind on what to play for that night. You'd figure "It all depends on what you're playing" right? wrong, I play GNR (slash) solos on my Strat, and blues (SRV), RHCP on my LP, they are both awesome axes, I just split the pups and tada! a wanna-be Strat. To me both feel/play like butta! but that's just me. ___________________________________________________________ Gibson Les Paul Traditional Standard Pro Fender Stratocaster Deluxe Series MiM Breedlove Passport Acoustic Amp: Marshall Combo MG30FX
